Spring 2015 : Congratulations to Karthik , Maya and Maddie for securing a high mark of 91 % in the Grade 1 piano exam in the spring. and to Cara for 90%. Congratulations also to Cara for obtatining 92 % and Kelsey for 91 % in the Basic Rudiments theory exam. Well done kids !
November 2014 : Students took part in the local Music Marathon to raise money for the KW- Symphony . They really enjoyed the opportunity to perform and hear other musicians play as well. In the latter half of the month there will be a Canada Music Week Masterclass and some of my students will be participating in this event as well. The big event for this month of course is our Studio Christmas Recital which will be held on Nov 29th.
October 2014 : Students are practising hard for their Hallowe'en incentive this month. It is a good time to start getting ready for various recitals/masterclasses coming up in the next few weeks. Congratulations to all my students who took part in the Musical Masquerade recital Saturday Oct 25th !
September 2014: A new term of music begins. I am excited to welcome back all my old students and my brand new students. Looking forward to many years of music together. I am very excited about the great results from the August 2014 RCM Exams. Congratulations to the following students :
Zerina : 98% Basic Rudiments
Lauren: 95% Gr 4 Piano
Shaelie : 95% Intermediate Rudiments
Aidan : 94% Basic Rudiments
Isabel : 90% Gr 1 Piano
August 2014 : CONGRATULATIONS to Lauren for securing 95% in her GR 4 RCM piano exam ! That is the highest mark in the studio for a piano exam so far! Well done Lauren- you have made me so proud !
July 2014 : So impressed with my students who are working hard towards their theory and Piano exams early next month, inspire of being on summer vacation! Good Luck to all the students !!
June 2014 : Congratulations to all students that took the RCM piano exams this spring 2014. All students secured First class honours and the highest mark went to Nicolas with 93% Grade 1 followed by Joshua 91% and Sebastian 90%! In the Basic Rudiments exam, the highest mark went to Robert with 93% followed by Sebastian 91%!
May 2014 : Congratulations to all the kids who participated in the Kiwanis Music Festival this week. A special SHOUT-OUT to Lauren who won a scholarship at the festival this year for her excellent performance with two 1st places ( 92%)and two 2nd places!
Results are all in. Here they are : 36 entries : 1st places - 12
2nd places - 13
3rd places - 11

April 2014 : Students enjoyed some down time at our studio Piano party
2013-2014 has been a busy. fun and enjoyable term so far. Read the newsletters to get a glimpse of what we have been working on in the studio. It will get busier as spring approaches !
Christmas Recital 2013 : Was held on November 30th 2013 at the Community Christian Reformed Church and was a huge success ! Visit my FB page for videos of this amazing day !
RCM EXAMS Spring 2013 :Congratulations to all the students who took the RCM spring piano exams and did very well ! Big Shout-Out to Mackenzie(MB3) for obtaining 94% and Zerina 91% in her Grade 1 exam and to Sierra and Aidan (MB3)for 91% in their Basic Rudiments Theory exams! Well done kids !
SUMMER CAMP 2012 : This summer I held a week-long music camp for my students. They learnt to play duets and even played a quartet together. They also learned to improvise, studied about Joseph Haydn and enjoyed the Surprise Symphony in a fun , creative and interactive way. Of course they LOVED the games and snack time helped with the bonding process. We held a little recital for our families on the last afternoon and they were very proud and impressed with how much the kids had learned and how much fun they had during the process! Some of the comments I heard were : "My daughter really enjoyed this camp. She would come home , and throw her arms up in the air and say “ AWESOME ! " Another parent said she was so glad they decided to do the camp- the girls loved coming everyday ! " Aw- thanks for sharing parents !! Check out my FB page for pictures/videos
